Makhura was one of the speakers at the Gauteng Economic Indaba in Sandton on Wednesday. A group of businesspeople were at the final stages of setting up the exchange and he was confident that the announcement would be made soon‚ said Makhura on the sidelines of the indaba. “There were a lot more black business people who were interested in supporting the township economy. They have done extensive work‚ including applying for a licence. I’m very confident that they are close to announcing (the exchange) in June or July‚” he said.
